Hey Mom-bies! Have you repeated yourself 100 times, shouted, cried, or asked “lord help me” today? Oh, beautiful, so you’re a NORMAL mom then. So glad you’ve found me! I too am a normal mama, just trying to survive motherhood. Don’t get me wrong, being a mom is hands down the biggest blessing I have ever experienced, and I would not trade my little minion for the world. But, let’s be real, this momin’ thing isn’t all rainbows and ponies. Actually, it’s a lot of explosive poops, projectile vomiting, inconvenient tantrums and negotiating. I am not above bribing my child or offering trades as if I was involved in a hostage situation.
If you are afraid to celebrate your kid sleeping through the night for fear it may “jinx” the exception from ever occurring again (and lets be honest, it will). Or, if you are the sort of mom who will open a pickle jar or yogurt in the middle of a grocery store in an effort to avoid an epic melt down mid-grocery shopping, then you have found your home. I too parent in his fashion.
Although, I admit that I believe parenting is 60% survival tactics and 40% conscious effort to mold a perfect human. It is also about finding yourself now that you are a mom and embracing your new body. As a personal trainer, nutrition nut and military vet, I can confirm that a fit bod it totally possible! BUT loving the skin you’re in is more important than 13% body fat, and so is balance. I am rambling…
I could go on forever in this introduction, but I won’t. I’d rather share my daily truth with you instead through my various blogs. All for the hope that you will relate, feel normal and we can be fabulous “hot messes” together, in between our two forms of “booty duty”…baby and daddy! 😂
